Beth’s Festival-Themed 25th Birthday Party in Cheltenham 🎪🎧

What an incredible night celebrating Beth’s 25th birthday in Cheltenham!

This one was a little different from the usual wedding or venue setup, with the entire celebration taking place at a house in Cheltenham. A marquee had been set up in the garden and transformed into Beth’s very own festival for the night – and the attention to detail was brilliant.

From musical bingo and festival-themed tables to house, drum & bass and plenty of throwbacks, this was definitely a 25th birthday party to remember!

Welcome to Beth Fest! 🎪

The whole party had been designed around a festival theme, with each table named after a different festival.

There was Tomorrowland, Boomtown, V Festival and plenty more, giving the marquee its own mini festival atmosphere.

It worked perfectly for a garden party and, once the music and lighting got going, the marquee became our own festival tent for the night.

Musical Bingo to Start the Party 🎶

Before we properly opened up the dancefloor, Beth’s best friend took over to host a round of musical bingo.

It was a brilliant way to get everyone involved early in the evening, with guests recognising tracks, singing along and competing to complete their cards.

By the time the bingo finished, everyone was already warmed up and ready for the party to properly begin!

House, Drum & Bass, Throwbacks, ABBA & Michael Jackson

Once we got into the main party, there was a huge mixture of music.

Beth and her guests were big fans of house and drum & bass, so there was plenty of energy throughout the night, mixed in with some huge throwbacks and party favourites.

We also discovered there were some serious Michael Jackson and ABBA fans in the marquee!

That’s one of the things I love about events like this. We can move between completely different genres depending on what’s working with the crowd, rather than sticking rigidly to one style of music.

A Brand-New Way to Request Songs 📱🎧

This party was also a chance to introduce a brand-new addition to the DJ Wilkes setup – live digital song requests.

Rather than guests having to come up to the DJ booth and try to shout a song request over the music, they could use the DJ Wilkes Guest Request Portal to send their requests directly from their phones.

The requests then appeared directly within my DJ system, allowing me to see what guests wanted to hear while still controlling when – and whether – each track fitted into the night.

It worked brilliantly.

Guests could enjoy the party, send over their favourite tracks and help influence the soundtrack without interrupting the flow of the DJ set.

It’s something I’m really excited to introduce to more DJ Wilkes events going forward.

Finishing at 1AM With ABBA 🪩

The party continued right through until 1am, with the marquee still full of energy as we approached the final track.

And what better way to finish a festival-themed 25th birthday than with everyone singing along together?

The final song of the night was:

🎶 ABBA – Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

A huge singalong and the perfect way to bring an incredible night to an end.
