Celebrating 100 Years of Circle Tennis at Harborne Golf Club

What a brilliant evening celebrating 100 years of Circle Tennis at Harborne Golf Club in Birmingham! It was a special occasion bringing everyone together to celebrate a huge milestone for the club, and I had the pleasure of providing the music throughout the evening, from background music during the meal through to the party afterwards. With awards, group photographs, plenty of celebrations and guests requesting their favourite tracks through the DJ Wilkes Live Song Request system, it was a fantastic night from start to finish.

Background Music for the Evening Meal

We started the evening with background music while everyone enjoyed their sit-down meal. For an event like this, it's important that the music complements what's happening rather than taking over. The aim was to create a relaxed atmosphere where everyone could enjoy their food, catch up and celebrate the occasion together. One of the benefits of having a DJ for the entire evening is being able to adapt the music as the event progresses.

Celebrating 100 Years with Awards and Photographs

Following the meal, it was time for the awards and group photographs. This was an opportunity for everyone to come together and mark 100 years of Circle Tennis, recognising the occasion before the evening moved into the party.

The Party Begins – Dance, Pop, 80s and Classics!

Once the formal part of the evening had finished, it was time to get the party started! The soundtrack was a real mixture of 80s favourites, dance music, pop hits and classic party anthems. With different generations celebrating together, we kept the music varied throughout the night, moving between genres and decades to suit the atmosphere.

Live Song Requests Throughout the Night

We also had the DJ Wilkes Live Song Request system switched on for the evening. Guests could use their phones to submit song requests directly to my DJ system, and we had requests coming through throughout the party. Rather than guests needing to approach the DJ booth, the system gives everyone an easy way to get involved with the music. I can then review the requests and work them into the set when they fit the atmosphere, keeping the music flowing while giving guests a say in the soundtrack.

A Fantastic 100th Anniversary at Harborne Golf Club

From the background music during dinner to the awards, photographs and evening party, it was a pleasure providing the entertainment for Circle Tennis's centenary celebration. A huge thank you to Circle Tennis for having DJ Wilkes there to be part of such a special milestone. And congratulations on 100 years!
